Notice to Masters, owners, operators and agents of all vessels calling at Rosslare Europort.

Rosslare Europort intends to commence a schedule of maintenance dredging in the areas around the end of the breakwater and berth 4 as shown in the diagram below. The proposed works consist of the dredging of approximately 80,000m³ of sands and gravels to the required Approach Channel and Inner Harbour design depths. The material has accumulated against the Outer Breakwater and adjacent to the Berth No.4 quay wall. There is also an accumulation of material between Fisherman’s Quay & Berth 1, and between Berth 2 & 3 which will be dredged.

The existing bed levels vary between approximately +0.5m CD and 9.5m BCD, the maintenance dredging of the channel & inner harbour will return the bed levels to -7.2m CD in the work area:

It is intended to use the Dredging Vessel ‘Scald’ to conduct this dredging campaign.

The works are scheduled to commence on Thursday 1st August 2024 and run for a duration of 3 weeks until or around late August 2024. The vessels will maintain contact with harbour VTS control on VHF channels 12 & 16.
